The Capitol building has reopened after completion of a 5-year renovation. MREA invites you to see the progress and join us as we advocate for expansion of rural broadband for Greater Minnesota schools on March 15.

During Broadband Day at the Capitol, you can meet your Senator in the new Minnesota Senate Building and join others across the state to discuss this important issue for rural communities.

For the second year in a row, MREA members adopted expanding rural broadband as part of the policy platform and the Minnesota Broadband Coalition has come together to organize Minnesota’s first Broadband Day on the Hill on March 15. The Coalition’s goal is to bring directly to legislators rural perspectives on the critical role that broadband plays in Minnesota rural communities’ economic vitality and quality of life for students and families.

The Coalition is planning a full day of activities at the Capitol starting with a legislative panel, followed by a news conference, visits with individual lawmakers, and a concluding reception. Register and learn more.

Your participation is vital.  This is a great opportunity to meet directly with legislators and share your stories about the importance of high-speed broadband internet. The Coalition will help arrange individual visits with your legislators and help prepare you for meetings with your legislators.
