MREA members school districts from across Minnesota joined other schools nationwide today in urging Congress to not eliminate or reduce Title II, Part A funding for FY 2018. This has been proposed by the Trump administration in the FY ’19 budget.

Title II already saw a drastic reduction this year when $249 million was cut from the program for FY 2017. Minnesota received about $27 million in Title IIA funds and distributed nearly all these funds to school districts. This critical funding helps attract, train and high-quality teachers, principals, assistant principals, and other school leaders. Learn more.
