MREA has adopted expanding rural broadband as part of its policy platform for the second consecutive year and this year the Minnesota Broadband Coalition has come together to organize Minnesota’s first ever Broadband Day on the Hill on March 15.

The Coalition aims to engage rural leaders to provide legislators their perspectives on the critical role that broadband plays in Minnesota rural communities’ economic vitality and quality of life for students and families.

The Coalition is planning a full day of activities at the Capitol, starting with a legislative panel, followed by a press conference, visits with individual lawmakers, and a concluding reception. Details will be made available as they are finalized on the event webpage.

Your participation is vital.  This is a great opportunity to meet directly with legislators and share your stories about the importance of high-speed broadband internet. The Coalition will help arrange individual visits with your legislators and help prepare you for meetings with your legislators.
