State Board Openings Announced

You can help be The Voice of Greater Minnesota Education by applying for one of the nine E-12 education related state-wide boards that have openings as of Jan. 1. The Secretary of State today announced the vacancies. For full consideration, your application must be submitted by Nov. 27. Some of these require a geographic distribution by congressional districts.

  • Minnesota Resource Center Advisory Committee: Blind and Visually Impaired
  • Minnesota Commission on National and Community Service
  • Minnesota State Arts Board

In accordance with the Minnesota Open Appointments Law, the Secretary of State acts as an administrator in publishing vacancies, receiving applications, and recording appointments. Applications will be reviewed and appointments made by the appointing authorities for these various agencies; questions about specific vacancies and appointments should be directed to the appointing authority. Applications submitted by November 27, 2012, are assured of full consideration by the appointing authority. Appointing authorities for these agencies may choose to review applications received by the Secretary of State after that date. Applications are kept on file for a one year period.
