KYLE EDGERTON
Superintendent, Campbell-Tintah Schools

My interest in serving on the MREA Board stems from my life, work and passion of working in rural education and my belief that it can be made better through a unified voice. I have 20 + years of experience working in and with rural schools promoting and advocating for advancing services, programs and policies in both Minnesota and North Dakota. I have gained insight and a deep understanding of the many challenges and opportunities that rural school communities deal with on an ongoing basis. For rural schools to remain relevant and vital, they must be engaged politically so that they are “at the table,” heard, and understood. If elected to the board I promise to bring a deep commitment to contributing to the work of MREA as it moves forward to build a vibrant and effective voice for all of Greater Minnesota. I would be honored to contribute to that work.

LUTHER HELLER
Superintendent, Montevideo Schools

Over the past 20 years, I have had the privilege of being a part of MREA and have witnessed the results of their efforts to put children first and provide all Minnesota students with viable educational opportunities. I currently serve as the South Central Administrator representative on the MREA Board and bring to this position 28 years of experience as a rural school superintendent and a record of active participation in state and national educational organizations. I have served on the governing boards for MREA, MASA, and AASA, as well as  served on a variety of committees within those organizations. I am a past-President of MREA, have served on the MREA Legislative Action Committee and have been very active in the both the national and state level lobbying efforts of MREA and MASA. I would be honored to continue to serve the schools and students within MREA as the South Central Administrator Representative to the Board. Thank you for your consideration of my candidacy.
