Members to Vote on Platform at Annual Meeting
MREA member school districts, associates, and individuals are invited to MREA’s 2019 Annual Meeting in conjunction with the 2019 Annual Conference, Relating With Students Now. Voting on the 2020 Legislative Platform, outlining issues and actions, is among the key actions members will take at the meeting.

Legislative Platform
The MREA Board of Directors has identified key issues and recommended this platform as the focus for the 2020 Legislative Session. Key issues include:
- Funding Student Needs
- Cooperative Facilities
- Teacher Shortage
- Healthy and Safe Schools & Youth

2020 Board Candidates
Members at the Annual Meeting will also be introduced to candidates running for election to the 2020 Board of Directors. This fall there are 18 individuals vying for 6 open spots on the Board of Directors. Each of MREA’s four membership zones features at least one open position for terms effective Jan. 1, 2020.
