The Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon has released the November 2015 notice of vacancies for state boards, councils and committees. Rural voices need to be present and heard, and MREA members are encouraged to apply and serve.
The following committees in particular need teachers, parents, other education and special education representatives, and American Indian community representatives:

- Advisory Committee: Deaf And Hard‐Of‐Hearing
- Board Of School Administrators
- Board Of Teaching
- Subcommittee On Children’s Mental Health
