By April 1, 2016 No Comments

The MnSCU Chancellor’s office released information on its efforts to continue Concurrent Enrollment in the face of the HLC clarification of credentialing requirements for high school teachers. They are encouraging all MnSCU colleges and universities to continue to work with high schools to take the steps necessary to meet the concurrent enrollment instructor credentialing standards. View the MnSCU Update.

Should you have questions about MnSCU’s efforts or your specific situation, feel free to contact Pakou Yang, System Director of P-20 and College Readiness, at Pakou.yang@so.mnscu.edu or 651-201-1760.

MREA is appreciative of these efforts of the Chancellor’s Office and applauds the work of MSUM and Lakes Country Cooperative to pilot on-line course cohorts to meet the HLC credentialing requirements. MREA encourages MnSCU to be open to HS teachers and principals input on their framework for tested experience and other avenues to demonstrate graduate level expertise in their discipline.
