Annual Conference

Conference Proposal Deadline Extended to June 3

To meet the requests of members, MREA has extended the deadline for submitting breakout session presentation proposals for its 2016 Annual Conference, Making Teaching Matter to Friday, June 3.

While research continues to demonstrate that great teaching is more important than ever to student achievement, expectations for today’s professional teachers have redesigned teaching and made it a more demanding profession. Teachers, administrators, school board members, and others involved in rural education or early learning are invited to share best practices to improve student outcomes across Minnesota.

The MREA Annual Conference will bring together more than 300 rural education leaders and advocates to connect practices, resources, policies, and research in re-imagining the teaching profession and education today, community collaborations, and technology trends.

Conference presenters will receive a choice of:

  • Free conference registration for Monday only including lunch, or
  • Reduced registration for the entire conference.

Anyone can submit a proposal to present. Learn more.
