Call for Proposals

Submissions due April 30

MREA has opened its call for breakout and workshop session proposals for the 2023 Greater Education Summit taking place November 12-14 at Cragun’s Resort. Proposals are due April 30 for sharing best practices, solutions, and research on education and learning around these focus areas:

  • Resilient and Healthy Rural Education
  • Local and Global Learning Perspectives
  • Welcoming Places and Spaces

Educators and other professionals who re-imagine boundaries and ask, “Why not me? Why not us?” are encouraged to submit Summit presentation proposals. Greater Minnesota wants to learn how to best explore new ideas, leverage existing assets, and share services to develop the best outcomes for students. Submit proposals soon to positively impact more than 500 rural education leaders from across Greater Minnesota.

MREA members want to learn how rural colleagues are solving educational challenges and addressing these focus areas:

Resilient and Healthy Rural Education
o Retaining and supporting qualified teachers and staff
o Transformation around change and adversity
o School and business/community collaborations

• Local and Global Learning Perspectives
o Workforce and talent development for sustainable futures
o Students as today’s learners and tomorrow’s leaders
o AI and data science learning integration

• Welcoming Places and Spaces
o Disruptive practices and supports to improve student outcomes
o Connection and belonging to foster engagement
o School climate that values safe learning

• Developments Shaping Education in the Classroom, Building, and Boardroom

• Qualifying Topics for MN Educator License Renewals

Proposals

Proposals are due April 30 by midnight.
