MREA’s collective voice of 230 member school districts remains essential to advocate on behalf of Greater Minnesota education during this unprecedented time.

To support members during this time, the MREA Board of Directors approved last week to reduce membership dues by 10 percent for all members for 2020-2021.  In addition, members can opt for a 15 percent discount for both the ‘20-‘21 and ’21-’22 years when paying for both years with their renewal.

“We are all in this together,” MREA Executive Director Fred Nolan said. “We need continue to band together and provide a unified voice for Greater Minnesota education.” View interactive map of school district members.

This dues decrease comes at a time when MREA has dramatically increased communications and support to members during this pandemic. MREA has become a key source for the new and resources for schools as they respond to COVID-19. Learn more.

“A hallmark of MREA is to be flexible and respond quickly to members’ needs,” Nolan said. “The MREA team has acted swiftly to provide our school leaders with added support and unwavering advocacy. We’re constantly thinking about how we can serve our members and our team continues to go above and beyond because of their passion and commitment for education.”

MREA will maintain the same high levels of advocacy, communications and member benefits throughout this time period.

Associate members will receive renewal notices in early May. School districts and cooperatives will receive theirs early June. Notices will outline the options. Those members that have already for the upcoming membership year will receive refunds based on this dues structure.
