Legislative Platform
The MREA Board of Directors and the advocacy team have identified key issues and recommended this platform as the focus for the 2023 Minnesota Legislative Session. Voting on the 2023 Legislative Platform, outlining issues and actions, is the primary action members will take at the meeting. Key issues include:
- Assisting School Districts in Recruiting and Retaining Staff
- Improving School Facilities
- Supporting Local Control and Innovation in Schools
2023 Board Candidates
Members at the Annual Meeting will also be introduced to candidates running for election to the 2023 Board of Directors. Four individuals are vying for 3 open spots on the Board of Directors. Only three of MREA’s four membership zones will have a Board vacancy for terms beginning Jan. 1, 2023.
